ROCKTECH NEXUS · ENGINEERING-SOFTWARE STARTUP

Closed beta

From rock mass to blast: engineering you can check.

RockTech NeXus is an early-stage engineering-software company from Croatia. We build tools for the preliminary calculations that sit between a fragile spreadsheet and a full simulation suite: established methods, explicit units and visible assumptions, so a qualified engineer can check every result before relying on it.

Our academic origin is the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering.

We check our own calculations against the literature, and we publish what we find.

OUR PRODUCTS

Two products, one way of working.

Rocklytics for geomechanics and mineraX for surface blasting share the same approach: inputs with units, assumptions and warnings beside every result, and a qualified engineer making the final call. Both are in closed beta, with access by request.

Rocklytics

Geomechanics · stability · support

Rock-mass classification, rock strength, tunnel stress and support, slope stability and soil checks for preliminary assessment.

Rocklytics is in closed beta. Access is by request.

mineraX

Blasting · fragmentation · vibration

Bench blast design, charge loading and timing, fragmentation curves and ground-vibration screening for surface blasting.

mineraX is in closed beta. Access is by request.

THE PROBLEM

Preliminary work scattered across tools loses its trail.

  • Calculations spread across ad-hoc spreadsheets
  • Unit conversions hidden inside cells
  • Assumptions and warnings left undocumented
  • Reports reassembled by hand each time

PRODUCT PROOF

See the inputs, units, warnings and outputs together.

Each capture below is a real product screen run on synthetic data. Review the inputs, assumptions, warnings and outputs of the workflow you evaluate; available methods and deliverables are confirmed during beta onboarding.

WHO IT IS FOR

Different roles, one reviewable trail.

Geotechnical and rock-mechanics engineers

Inspect preliminary tunnel, slope and rock-mass calculations, units, assumptions and warnings in one workflow context.

Drill-and-blast and quarry engineers

Check bench geometry, charge loading, timing, fragmentation and ground vibration before a blast is designed in detail.

Engineering reviewers and technical leads

Reconstruct the calculation trail without reverse-engineering another spreadsheet.

Teams evaluating workflow software

Scope one representative process and measure whether reviewability actually improves.

FROM FRAGMENTED TO REVIEWABLE

Keep the engineering trail visible.

Before

Fragmented approach

  • Inputs split between spreadsheets and notes
  • Unit conversions hidden inside cells
  • Warnings and assumptions reconstructed later
  • A reviewer must rebuild the calculation trail

After

With Rocklytics and mineraX

  • Inputs and units share one workflow context
  • Method checks and warnings remain visible
  • Results and intermediate values can be inspected together
  • The qualified engineer keeps the final judgement

REPRESENTATIVE WORKFLOWS

Start from a real question.

WF·01

Preliminary tunnel stress check

Kirsch elastic stress and the generalized Hoek–Brown criterion for a circular opening — the published workflow.

Review the published workflow
WF·02

Rock-mass classification and support

Work through classification and support-oriented methods with explicit inputs and warnings.

See the Rocklytics workflow
WF·03

Bench blast design and fragmentation

Lay out burden, spacing and charge for a surface bench, then carry the design into a predicted fragment size distribution.

See the mineraX workflow
WF·04

Ground-vibration screening

Estimate peak particle velocity from scaled distance at a nearby receptor, with the attenuation constants and limits stated.

HOW EVALUATION WORKS

Two ways to evaluate.

For individual engineers

  1. Request access to Rocklytics or mineraX
  2. Fit review by an engineer
  3. Beta onboarding

For teams and organizations

  1. Discuss a pilot
  2. Qualification call
  3. Scoped pilot proposal

METHOD AND BOUNDARY

Grounded in published methods, honest about limits.

Appropriate for

  • Preliminary assessment and screening
  • Checking calculations and documenting assumptions
  • Preparing reviewable engineering evidence

Not a substitute for

  • Site investigation or monitoring
  • Project-specific numerical modelling or detailed blast design
  • Code or statutory compliance, independent checking or professional judgment
